We finally have a pumpkin amidst all the vines and blossoms. The seeds were generously given to me by Susy at Chiot's Run. Cute little guy, no? I planted two of the French heirloom seeds called Rouge Vif D'Etampes. It is believed that the author/illustrator Charles Perrault (1628 - 1703) used this variety as a model for the pumpkin Cinderella's godmother transformed into a coach. I will get more pictures of the pumpkin vines tomorrow.
