Carrots

Ms. Wabbit jumped into the carrots today while I watched from a few feet away. After theScarecrow chased her out, I looked to see what she was so interested in and decided to thin them a bit. WOW! Look at the size of these babies! I had no idea they had grown so much. No wonder she was stalking the garden.

Rabbit Ruins

We keep wondering if the "Scarecrow" is working in keeping out varmints from our garden. I forgot to turn it back on this morning when we went to the airport to see Ali off. We came home to Ms. Wabbit sitting in our garden...chomping away at the carrots...and digging holes. She also ate half a row of lettuce. Grrr...the Scarecrow does work! In the last picture, she is checking on her babies.

Hardening Off the Seedlings

What is going on with the basil? But my lettuce is still hanging in there. I think I will get it outside tomorrow again, and maybe transplant them into the garden. I do believe the scarecrow is working well enough to protect it from Ms. Wabbit.
Almost time to transplant the thyme...
The Heirloom Chocolate Cherry tomato plants did not fair well outside today. I think I killed off half of them...so fragile. Seems the Heirloom seedlings are all much more fragile than the hybrids, but I still want to support the Heirloom, if I can. You can see them compared to the Sisters tomato plants. The Sisters rule! Yay Girl Power!!

The scarecrow must have been sleeping...

The spray was totally arcing over this square and a little squirrel took full advantage in the newly planted onion patch. Grrr...

Scarecrow

I installed the Scarecrow. It spayed me, right off the bat! I hope it gets Ms. Wabbit as well.

ScareCrow

After extensive research on eliminating varmints...ahem...we are now the proud owners of a ScareCrow (We did not pay that much for it!). The idea is that you aim this motion sensitive water spray towards your garden. If a cat, squirrel or wabbit invades, they get a shower and your garden gets a drink. We will see...
