I am waiting to identify the type of tree peony I have still to bloom. They are white with a hint of pink and very full blossoms. We will see.
Tyro - Pronunciation: \ˈtī-(ˌ)rō\ noun Medieval Latin, from Latin tiro, tyro. A beginner in learning: novice. Synonyms: see amateur. Yes. That would be me...

My tall Tree Peonies have not bloomed yet. They start when the others fade. Evidently this is a plant we have not been pruning well. The Tree Peony Garden site under Planting and Care shows what a well trimmed Tree Peony looks like...unlike mine. We just cut the entire plant off about two inches off the ground after the leaves fade. These plants are at least thirty years old. Just goes to show you how resilient Mother Nature is to survive my gardening techniques. I like the part where they say, "Didn't prune well, effect the flower quality." Oops! Can you imagine the quality of my blossoms if I pruned well? Whoa.
