I waited one day too long to get good pictures of the tall pink peonies blooming in all their glory. They were battered to the ground by the 'shake you out of bed' thunderstorm we had last night at 1:00AM. We got over 1/2 inch of rain in a short amount of time. I cut a bouquet of heavenly smelling blossoms so they would not rot on the ground unappreciated.
What is there not to be happy about for these guys? Notice the beads of water on the petals from my rinsing off the dirt?
This bouquet looks so great in front of the window my brother gave me. Glorious peonies.
